Lexington Could See Up To 7 Inches Of Snow

A winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service for Thursday afternoon into Friday.

LEXINGTON, MA — Another round of snow showers is on the way, prompting a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service from noon today until 7 p.m. Feb. 19.

Flakes should start falling late Thursday afternoon, through Friday leaving Lexington with up to 7 inches of accumulation by Friday night.

Lexington still has its overnight parking ban in place that prohibits parking on town streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Here's what the National Weather Service has to say:

Today- A chance of snow, mainly after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 29. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tonight- Snow likely, mainly after 9pm. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday- Snow likely. Cloudy, with a high near 31. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Friday Night- Snow likely, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy, with a low around 24. North wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
