Lexington Eatery Featured on Phantom Gourmet

The Phantom dropped by Vine Brook Tavern recently. See what they had to say.

Vine Brook Tavern opened last fall on Waltham Street and has already built a local following. After a recent feature on the Phantom Gourmet, the upscale American eatery will no longer be (if it ever was) Lexington's little secret.

From the Phantom Gourmet video, which you can watch by clicking the image to your right:

Hitting all the right notes, Vine Brook Tavern in Lexington is a two story eatery with a casual bar on the first floor, an intimate dining room upstairs, and talented served who've been known to break in song, all set inside a former post office dating back to the 1840s.

With Vine Brook Tavern, owners Marcus Palmer and Brian Lesser, along with Chef Chris Frothingham, strive to honor Lexington's history while catering to the modern diner.

They've done so by taking the restaurant's name from the Vine Brook that runs through town, decorating the space with elements that complement the old Post Office's architecture and creating a menue that elevates tavern fare for the 21st century palate.
