The boy was having an allergic reaction and Lexington EMS, firefighters and police responded.
LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington first responders received a thank-you note on Monday for their work in helping save a boy who was having an allergic reaction over the weekend. The town published part of the note on its website to shout-out the first responders and their work.
The boy and his family knew of his allergies but had never needed to call first responders or implement their action plan until Sunday, according to the note. The boy is recovered and home now.

"I just wanted to send a thank you note for the quick, efficient and helpful service we received yesterday (6/28). My son had an allergic reaction and we had to call 911.
We knew of his allergies, but had never needed to actually trigger the emergency response plan of calling 911 and taking an ambulance.
Thank you very much to the awesome Fire & Rescue Team and the Police Department for coming so quickly and for taking care of my son en route to the hospital!
We greatly appreciate your service and your commitment to the community!!
Thank you.
