Lexington QB Named a Patch 'Player of the Week'

Veteran high school sports reporter Bob Holmes named a Lexington player as one of Week 2's best.

LEXINGTON , MA – We're only two weeks into the football season, but some athletes have already emerged as standouts on the gridiron.

Veteran high school sports reporter Bob Holmes dropped his list of Patch players of the week Monday, and Lexington's senior quarterback Sal Frelick made the cut .

Holmes highlighted the junior's performance in Lexington's instant classic against victory over Concord-Carlisle.

Sal Frelick, Lexington -- The senior is back on the weekly honor roll and why not? In a 35-34 win over Concord-Carlisle he completed 10 of 13 passes for 167 yards and a score, and also ran for 159 yards and three touchdowns.
