Lexington's New Mask Initiative Includes Superheroes
Superheroes walked around town showing residents anyone can be a hero if they wear a mask.
LEXINGTON, MA — As coronavirus cases spike nationwide, local officials are doing everything they can to make sure residents are taking proper precautions, including dressing up in superhero costumes to promote the use of masks.
On Saturday, town officials suited up as their favorite superheroes and added a face mask to hit the streets and hand out face masks. The band of masked heroes consisted of Town Manager James Malloy dressed as Spider-Man, Deputy Town Manager Kelly Axtell dressed as Lady Incredible, Fire Chief Derek Sencabuagh dressed as Batman, and Finance Director Carolyn Kosnoff dressed as Batwoman.
The group stopped by the Cary Library, posed for their rendition of the iconic "Abby Road" photo on Massachusetts Avenue and ended at the Minuteman Statue for a photo with Captain John Parker.
