LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington is bracing for the incoming nor'easter to throw a blanket of snow over the town and has snow plows ready to hit the streets.

The town offered residents some reminders that due to the snow, Lexpress bus service may end early, although it ran normally through the morning. The REV Alewife shuttle is not running on Monday. The town said MBTA always runs, but riders should check alerts as buses switch to snow routes as needed.

The town also reminded residents that the overnight parking ban is still in effect — parking on town streets is prohibited between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Both Lexington Public Schools and Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District announced early dismissal on Monday due to the storm.

The National Weather Service is forecasting 7-15 inches of wet, heavy snow, with the coast and Cape and Islands receiving just a coating. A winter storm warning is in effect throughout the state.
