(lexobserver.org) — Lexington is weighing major changes to trash collection, including standardized bins, overflow fees, and new bulky-item charges that could hit your household budget as soon as this July. Town staff and the Waste Reduction Task Force are pushing expanded composting, a possible residential food waste ban, and more drop-off and reuse options, while asking residents for feedback before Town Meeting votes this spring.
