Lynnfield Firefighters Stepping Up Support In Louisiana Post Ida

The Louisiana State Fire Marshal is thanking Lynnfield firefighters for their continued support as they handle emergency calls.

LYNNFIELD, MA — Since first responders in Louisiana have been working non-stop since the storm hit, ten local firefighters from Lynnfield, Carlisle, and Dalton have been working down in Louisiana to offer some much-needed relief.

Tuesday morning, Peter Ostroskey, the Louisiana State Fire Marshall took to Facebook, posting a picture of some of the volunteer firemen after they put out a car fire.

These firefighters have supported local first responders in handling emergency calls.

"This crew will be able to provide services in support of those local first responders, so they can get some rest," says Louisiana State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey.

The Lynnfield Fire Department isn't the only group from Massachusetts doing their part to help in the Hurricane relief efforts.

The Massachusetts Military Support Foundation along with members of Teamsters Local 25 loaded a truck bound for Louisianna in an attempt to aid those hit hardest by Hurricane Ida Monday morning.
