Lynnfield Man Arrested in NH on Reckless Conduct, Other Charges
New Hampshire State Police arrest Michael Dewhurst after pursuit with Mass. State Police into the Granite State.

A Massachusetts man was arrested last week and arraigned on Monday on a slew of charges after a police pursuit through two states, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Michael G. Dewhurst, 39, of Lynnfield, MA, was arrested on Sept. 11, 2015, and charged with felony reckless conduct, disobeying an officer, and resisting arrest.

At around 11 p.m. on Friday night, Massachusetts State Police contacted New Hampshire State Police about a pursuit they were involved in along Route 3 and entering into the state on the Everett Turnpike at around 85 mph.
A New Hampshire trooper picked up the pursuit at the state line and followed the GMC minivan while other troopers deployed stop sticks at Exit 11 in Merrimack in order to stop the vehicle.

The vehicle ran over the sticks and came to a stop in the breakdown lane, according to police.
Dewhurst was immediately arrested and taken into custody. He was held over the weekend and was arraigned today and continued to be held on $5,000 cash bail.
According to Mass. State Police, they were pursuing Dewhurst on Route 128 in Burlington, MA, after reportedly observing a traffic violation and running a check on the minivan’s plate. When checked, it was allegedly registered to another vehicle. The chase continued north onto Route 3, according to troopers.
