Massive Pothole Damages More Than 20 Cars In Lynnfield
Emergency repair crews are actively working to fix a massive four-foot-wide pothole in Lynnfield.

LYNNFIELD, MA — The morning rush hour went a little bumpy in Lynnfield Thursday morning.
At least 20-30 vehicles were damaged just before the Lynnfield Tunnel, Massachusetts State Police said.
Troopers were able to shut down one lane of Route 1 south after multiple cars reported damage and flat tires during their morning commute.

Crews are actively working to repair the pothole located on the 128 on-ramp and the Lynnfield tunnel.
Police say traffic is still heavy in the area, and alternate routes are recommended.

Police say they hope to reopen both lanes shortly after 1 p.m.
