• Schools propose 4.9% budget increase (lynnfieldweeklynews.com) — Lynnfield families should know the schools are proposing a 4.9% FY27 budget increase, slightly above the town’s 4% guidance, to fund staffing, a new math curriculum, and safety-focused capital projects like replacing the Summer Street playground. Superintendent Thomas Geary says the plan supports Lynnfield’s “Vision of the Graduate,” with public hearings and forums scheduled in early 2026 before Town Meeting votes.
