MALDEN, MA — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Boston man who may have been in an apartment where a 79-year-old man was found dead last week.

On Feb. 22, Malden police found Ronald Gilbert dead inside his Kennedy Drive apartment. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan called the death "suspicious" in a Thursday news release, and said it was apparent Gilbert had been dead for a long time.

Ryan also said some of Gilbert's property was missing from his apartment. Police are now searching for a 33-year-old Boston man in connection to the apparent theft. The stolen property was recovered, Ryan said.
