City Of Malden: Malden Distributes Thousands Of COVID-19 Test Kits To Residents

The City of Malden held several COVID-19 Rapid Test Kit Distribution events over the Martin Luther King weekend. Mayor Christenson tied the distribution to the Martin Luther King Day of Service and encouraged employees to step up to volunteer as a way to engage with the community while honoring the legacy of Dr. King. Distribution sites included the former Malden Hospital, the Salemwood School and the Freedom Hill Community Church on Kennedy Drive. Thousands of people pre-registered in advance and received test kits at the drive-through events. Residents were grateful to receive the free their kits and were appreciative of the efficiency of the events.
