Clinics aim to be family friendly, as noted in event announcements, offering vaccines to anyone older than six months. Anyone older than five years of age is eligible for a booster shot. Appointments are not needed and no ID or health insurance is required. The vaccines are free.
“We want to give kids the best protection as they return to school, so they are less likely to get sick and have to miss classes and activities,” state Public Health Commissioner Margret Cooke recently said. “We hope these convenient, all-ages clinics make it easier for families to get their children vaccinated and keep them safe.”
Find more information on vaccine clinics for children through the state’s Kids Clinic website. Additional clinics are listed through the VaxFinder service.
Anyone who is unable to attend a community clinic can request in-home vaccination.
