David Wright a/k/a Dawud Sharif Wright a/k/a Dawud Sharif Abdul Khaliq, 25, of Everett, faces a federal conspiracy charge in light of his alleged involvement with Rahim’s plans - specifically the destruction of evidence that would be left on Rahim’s smartphone following his demise.

The FBI say they recorded several phone conversations between Wright and Rahim, in which Rahim, 26, reveals his elaborate plan to decapitate an individual who lives in another state, and Wright agreeing with this idea. The federal agency also says the pair met with a third person in Rhode Island on Sunday, May 31, regarding the planned beheading, although a third individual has yet to be named or arrested.

At 5 a.m. Tuesday, authorities say, Rahim called Wright saying he could no longer hold off on his plans for mayhem, and would β€œgo after” the β€œboys in blue.” Wright encouraged this idea, and told Rahim to destroy his cell phone to avoid detection from what he called β€œCSI.”

Police arrived at Wright’s home after Rahim was shot after allegedly threatening police with a knife on Tuesday. Wright supposedly confessed this conversation took place, and told them about the beach meeting.
