Residents Displaced After Fire At Multi-family Malden Home

The three-alarm blaze broke out on Friday evening.

MALDEN, MA — The fire department battled a three-alarm fire at a three-story home at 88 Fairmont Ave. Heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming out of multiple locations on the roof. The blaze has reportedly spread to all three floors. The majority of the flames were knocked down by approximately 6:15 p.m., however crews were still working to fully extinguish the fire. The Lynn Salvation Army provided food, supplies, and other support to the displaced residents. One firefighter was reportedly taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.
