Five Things You Need to Know Today, Feb. 8

Little yellow trumpets of hope.

Today is Tuesday, Feb. 8. Here are five things you need to know:

Snow and rain: Pay close attention to the thermometer today. If things stay frosty, expect a couple of inches. But if, as expected, the temperature rises above freezing for most of the day, expect more rain. What’s certain, however, is another blast of arctic air is on its way tonight, so dress accordingly.

The sweetest-smelling flowers: The MHS Breast Cancer Awareness Club is selling Daffodils to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Help the kids out and donate today. You can get a bunch of Daffodils for as little as $10. Other gifts include staffed bears, the plush toy and flowers in combination, and Gifts of Hope, where the American Cancer Society will deliver a bouquet of Daffodils to a cancer patient in exchange for your donation of $25 or more.
