Good day sunshine: Maybe it's not quite as warm as yesterday, but the forecast of clear skies with temperatures in the mid-40's is still a welcome sight in late November. 

Jailbreak: Kids in Malden Public Schools get a half-day today, busting out of the classroom at 11 a.m. for a four-and-a-half-day weekend.

Like an oil change before a long road trip: Are you about to ingest seven pounds of food over the next couple of days? How about you check your blood pressure before the holiday starts in earnest? The senior center hosts its weekly screenings starting at 9 a.m.. 

Diary of a Malden Patch editor's youth: The library hosts a kids movie today at 3:30 p.m.. Send your sixth graders and older to watch "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." First 30 kids there get a free silly band, which, if you have kids, you know is like offering an adult a free bottle of hooch. 

Waiting on a Friend: Yes, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and for lots of people, that means far-flung friends and family are coming into town today.
