Incident At Malden High School Sends Student To Hospital
Malden High School is no longer under lockdown and a student was taken to the hospital after being injured Thursday morning.

MALDEN, MA — A lockdown at Malden High School has been lifted after a student was injured at the school on Thursday morning.
Superintendent Ligia Noriega-Murphy told Patch the lockdown started at 12:20 p.m. after a student cut another student's forehead.
The student was taken to the hospital, but there is no word on the extent of their injuries.

Police say a juvenile was arrested following the incident after he tried to flee the area. Officers said he will be arraigned on related charges in juvenile court.
At least three helicopters were seen circling the school Thursday afternoon.
