Incumbents Sweep Races, New Faces Elected In Malden

MALDEN, MA — Malden residents showed they were happy with the status quo Tuesday, voting for the incumbent in races where a candidate was up for re-election.

But there are several new faces headed to local office in Malden, as well as a familiar one in a new role.

Councillor At Large Craig Spadafora was re-elected, joined by newcomers Karen Colon Hayes and Carey McDonald. In a bit of musical chairs, Councillor At Large Stephen Winslow ran successfully for the Ward 6 seat, relinquishing the at-large role.

Ward councillors Peg Crowe, Amanda Linehan, Ryan O'Malley, Barbara Murphy and Jadeane Sica were re-elected as well.
