Malden Catholic High School Cleared By Police After Swatting Call

The caller reported an active shooter incident at Malden Catholic High School, but when police arrived on scene, they found no danger.

MALDEN, MA – Malden Police have cleared Malden Catholic High School as safe after a threatening call was placed earlier this morning to the police Department’s non-emergency line, police said in a Facebook post.

The caller reported an active shooter incident at Malden Catholic High School, police said, but when officers arrived on scene, they quickly discovered the call was inaccurate and that there were no signs of danger or suspicious activity.

“There is currently no ongoing threat to public safety in relation to Malden schools,” police officials said in the Facebook post.
