Malden Catholic's Own Keith Tkachuk Selected to US Hockey Hall of Fame

Malden Catholic player never stopped playing.

National Hockey League veteran and Malden Catholic alum Keith Tkachuk has been selected to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Tkachuk is one of five inducted in 2011, along with Chris Chelios, Mike “Doc” Emrick, Ed Snider and Gary Suter, New England Hockey Journal reports.

The 19-year veteran of the NHL scored 538 goals and notched over 1,000 points in his pro career. But before all that, he was raised in Medford, played his high school hockey at Malden Catholic and later in college at Boston University.
