Malden Half-Marathon, Road Race Returns After 2 Years

Formerly known as the Malden Rotary Road Race, the annual event raises money for local causes.

MALDEN, MA — Malden's annual Half-Marathon and 5-Mile Road Race will return this month after a two-year hiatus. Formerly known as the Malden Rotary Road Race, the event raises money for local causes like the Wounded Veterans Ride and refurbishing the World War I Memorial.

The course starts at the new City Hall at 215 Pleasant Street and loops through the downtown, Commercial Street and up Canal Street before returning downtown. The half-marathon race consists of five loops through the course.

At the end of the race, an award ceremony will be held in the Pleasant Street parking lot.

Both races will take place Sunday, March 13. The Half-Marathon starts at 8 a.m. and the 5-Mile Road Race starts at 9:30 a.m.
