Malden Issues Mask Mandate In City Buildings
Mayor Gary Christenson said the order came in response to the spread of the delta variant and an increase in COVID-19 cases in Malden.
MALDEN, MA — Malden is once again requiring masks inside all municipal buildings.
The order, issued by Mayor Gary Christenson Aug. 26, applies to all people over the age of 2. It went into effect Monday, Aug. 30.
The mandate includes all employees and visitors to Malden City Hall, the police and fire stations, the Department of Public Works, the Malden Public Library, the senior and teen centers and the Parking Department.
