Malden Man Charged In Lynn Murder Case

Junior St. Jean was arraigned in court on Friday, according to an Essex District Attorney spokesperson.

MALDEN, MA β€” A Malden man is facing a murder charge in connection with a 2021 killing in Lynn, a spokesperson for the Essex County District Attorney’s Office confirmed on Monday.

Junior St. Jean, 31, of Malden, was arraigned in court on Friday of last week, according to spokesperson Carrie Kimball.

ItemLive.com first reported St. Jean’s arrest on Sunday, saying he had been taken into custody in Florida on a warrant issued earlier this year.

His arrest followed the death of Brian Poitras, 35, of Lynn, who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in May of 2021, according to ItemLive.

Poitras was born in Beverly and also spent time in Danvers, where he graduated Danvers High School in 2003, according to his obituary.

β€œBrian enjoyed BMX biking and spending time with friends,” his obituary said.

St. Jean’s arrest also comes after at least two other arrests of individuals in connection with this case, ItemLive reported.
