Carjacking Rampage: Malden Man Leads Police On Dangerous Chase
The crime spree took place across multiple communities last week.
MALDEN, MA — A resident is in critical condition after leading police on a dangerous chase in which he carjacked multiple vehicles, Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan announced.
Admilson Vizcaino, 33, was first reported acting erratically at a Medford gas station on the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 31. In the following hours, both Stoneham and Billerica police reportedly received reports of criminal activity from a vehicle matching Vizcaino’s black Chevrolet SUV, including shoplifting from a 7/11.
Once his address was determined, police tried to apprehend Vizcaino at his Malden home. However, he again fled in his vehicle toward Everett where he eventually crashed into other cars in the vicinity of Mystic Street. He abandoned his vehicle after it became unusable and attempted to steal multiple other vehicles while wielding a knife. He was soon confronted by state troopers and tased but managed to escape on foot.

Vizcaino soon entered a garbage truck and began a physical altercation with the driver, however the driver was able to safely escape with the help of Everett police.
Vizcaino drove the truck for about one-half mile before crashing it on Alford Street. He was finally apprehended and transported to the hospital. He has officially been charged with four counts of attempted armed carjacking, two counts of armed carjacking, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, armed assault to rob and leaving the scene of a collision resulting in property damage.
