Malden Man Sentenced In 2011 Murder of Restaurant Owner
A Malden cab driver who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2011 murder of an Ipswich restaurant owner was sentenced Friday in Salem Court

MALDEN, MA - A Malden cab driver, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the 2011 murder of an Ipswich restaurant owner, was sentenced today in Salem Superior Court, according to the Essex District Attorney's office.
Jun Di Lin, 34, pleaded guilty on September 22, 2014 to manslaughter, intimidate to rob and armed assault to rob a person over 60 years old in connection with beating death of Tony Woo at an Ipswich restaurant, as part of a cooperation agreement. Mr. Lin testified for the Commonwealth at the trials of Cheng Sun and Sifa Lee, both of whom were convicted of first-degree murder.
Judge David Lowy imposed the agreed upon sentence of 15-to-25 years in state prison, followed by 5 years of probation. Judge also ordered the defendant to stay away from and have no contact with the victimβs family.
