Malden Memorial Day Route and Closings

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of Salem, Ferry, and Main Streets and proceed north on Main Street to Forest Street

The Malden community remembers and honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the nation’s freedom at the Malden Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 30. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. and will start at the corner of Salem, Ferry, and Main Streets and will proceed north on Main Street to Forest Street and into Forest Dale Cemetery. There will be a short ceremony at Forest Dale Cemetery, then the parade will resume onto Pierce Street, turn right onto Salem Street and will end at the corner of Salem, Ferry, and Main Streets.

The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade will be Ralph J. Montecalvo, a lifelong Malden resident and World War II U.S. Navy Veteran who served in the Pacific and participated in the liberation of the Philippines. Following the parade, there will be a collation at Disabled American Veterans Chapter 85 Club located at 85 Willow Street in Malden.

Public works, libraries and senior center closed.
