MALDEN, MA — Friday wasn't just another day at the office for Officer Kevin Russell. While on duty, Russel earned his "storks badge" when he responded to a medical report of a woman having contractions, police said.

Russell and Malden firefighter Lt. Galvin Murphy helped deliver the baby. Russell was the first person to greet the newborn, police said.

"Never a dull moment in the 'office,'" Malden police said in a statement.
