Malden Police Chase Ends With Man Hiding In Tree: Report

MALDEN, MA — A man was found hiding in a tree after leading police on an hour-long chase, according to a report from WCVB Newscenter 5.

Police said the man committed multiple lane violations while driving before a traffic stop was initiated. After reportedly crashing into several vehicles on Salem Street, and then proceeded to evade police on foot. Surveillance footage captured the man climb up a tree on Bryant Street as the chase drew to a close.

While the man’s identity has not be released, he reportedly has an extensive criminal record including five active warrants.
