Big Grant To Fund Big Malden Projects
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission gave the grant.

MALDEN, MA — The city has received a sizable grant from Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
The $882,000 Municipal Block Grant will be used to fund five major projects throughout Malden, which focus on the categories of tourism, transportation, public safety, or planning.
$408,600 will be used for a safety-improving and congestion-reducing construction project on Main Street, according to Mayor Gary Christenson. This project will be getting the highest amount of finances allocated to it, with nearly half of the grant total slated to be used.
