MALDEN, MA β€” Malden voters took to the polls on Tuesday, largely following state trends to favor Maura Healey and Geoff Diehl in the Democratic and Republican gubernatorial races respectively, according to unofficial results released on Wednesday.

Locally, a race for the Democratic nomination in the 35th Middlesex State Representative district marked the lone local contest on either the Democratic or Republican ballot.

Though Nichole Mossalam beat incumbent Paul Donato in Malden voting, unofficial results showed from Medford showed Donato carrying the larger Medford/Malden district by a narrow margin thanks to a win in Medford voting.
