Malden Sees Uptick In Scooter Thefts: Police
One home surveillance video showed thieves lifting a scooter off the porch while the household slept.
MALDEN, MA — Malden police are reporting an increase in thefts of scooters and mopeds. The department issued a warning Friday after thieves were caught on home surveillance video lifting a scooter off a porch while the household slept.
Police caution residents to make scooters as "theft-proof" as possible.
"Please be cognizant of how and where you're securing them when not in use," Malden police said.
