Malden Welcomes 3 New Eagle Scouts

Mayor Gary Christenson gave the newest Eagles a tour of City Hall and presented them with citations for achieving the rank.

MALDEN, MA — Mayor Gary Christenson recently welcomed Malden's newest Eagle Scouts to City Hall. Alex Cogliano, Mason Burne and Liam Burne were given a tour of the building and presented with citations for achieving the rank.

For his Eagle Scout project, Cogliano installed a Little Library at Fellsmere Pond. He is headed to the University of New Hampshire in pursuit of a degree in homeland security.

Mason Burne built a new trail loop at the summit of High Rock Park for his project. He is attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell to study engineering.

Liam Burne worked with the Somerville YMCA Summer Program at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to make masks for preschool aged children. He is a rising senior at Malden High School.
