Malden Welcomes Two New Police Officers

Connor Murphy, formerly of the Boston Police Department, and James Oliveri, a former Danvers police officer, were sworn in Feb. 18.

MALDEN, MA — The Malden Police Department swore in two new police officers Feb. 18.

Officer Connor Murphy joined the department after six years as a Boston police officer. Murphy is also a U.S. Army veteran.

Officer James "Jimmy" Oliveri spent four years with the Danvers Police Department and was previously a deputy sheriff with the Essex County Sheriff's Office.

"We're proud to have these officers join our ranks and our MPD family," the department said in a statement.
