Man Arrested In Malden Indicted On Federal Drug, Gun Charges
Feds: Cesar Rivera was carrying over 28 grams of crack cocaine, fentanyl and a gun when he was arrested at a car wash in Malden in 2020.
MALDEN, MA — A Revere man arrested in Malden in late 2020 has been indicted on federal drug and weapons charges.
Cesar Rivera, 22, was arrested at a car wash in Malden in December 2020 for outstanding warrants on multiple gun cases, the U.S. Attorney's office said. He was carrying more than 28 grams of crack cocaine, fentanyl and a gun at the time of his arrest, federal authorities said.
Rivera faces charges of possession with intent to distribute 28 grams of cocaine base and fentanyl and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. He has been in federal custody since July 2021.

If convicted, Rivera faces up to life in prison for the gun charge and up to 40 years in prison for the drug charges.
