Man Charged In Malden Biting, Stabbing Incident: Reports
Jayson Seay, 26, was ordered held without bail on charges including assault with intent to murder, according to reports.
MALDEN, MA — A 26-year-old Peabody man was arraigned in court on Tuesday, according to multiple reports, less than 24 hours after police said he bit and stabbed another man in an incident on Chestnut Street in Malden.
WCVB and CBS Boston both identified the man as Jayson Seay. He is now facing charges of assault with intent to murder and armed robbery, according to WCVB.
Malden Police Chief Glenn Cronin previously said on Tuesday that a man, now identified as Seay, had walked up behind a woman in Malden and wrestled her purse away from her.

Two men chased Seay, Cronin said, with one tackling him and trying to restrain him while waiting for police to arrive.
That man who tackled Seay was 21-year-old delivery driver Ryan Dos Santos, according to multiple reports. He ended up bitten in the arm and stabbed in the leg during the struggle, Cronin said. Police arrived on scene and took Seay into custody on Monday. Dos Santos was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Cronin.

Appearing in court on Tuesday, Seay was ordered held without bail. His attorney, Elyse Hershon later spoke to CBS Boston outside of the courthouse, telling the station "We've only heard one side of the story, and one side of alleged facts."
"My client has the presumption of innocence,” Hershon said. “We will look to gather the rest of the facts and paint a complete picture of what happened."
