NH Man Arrested After Fatal Shooting Outside Everett Lounge

Authorities said Charles Demos shot and killed Jarrod Harris outside an Everett club following an altercation early Saturday morning.

EVERETT, MA — Police arrested the man they said shot and killed an Everett man outside a club early Saturday morning. Charles Demos, 29, of Rochester, New Hampshire, was arrested Sunday afternoon in Seabrook, N.H., after police said he shot Jarrod Harris, 42, outside Karma Lounge shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities said Demos grabbed a gun from a car following an altercation between Harris and a woman he was with, Demos, and several others. Demos then pursued Harris and shot at him multiple times, hitting him twice, police said.

People tried to stop the shooting and helped Harris after he was hit, police said. Harris was pronounced dead at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Authorities said Demos left in a Volkswagen Passat registered to a New Hampshire man who Demos knows.

Police obtained a warrant for Demos on charges of murder and unlawful possession of a fiream. He was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge.

Joshua Demos, 35, who lives at the Seabrook residence, was also arrested on a federal probation violation unrelated to the case, police said.

"The state of New Hampshire is a little bit safer now that these two armed and dangerous fugitives are in jail," said U.S. Marshal Nick Willard. "The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force prides itself in working seamlessly with all of our federal, state, and local law enforcement partners to find and arrest these dangerous fugitives."

Charles Demos will be arraigned Monday in Rockingham County District Court on the fugitive from justice charge. He will be arraigned at an unscheduled date in Malden District Court.

Joshua Demos will be arraigned Monday in federal court in Concord, N.H.
