Retired Police Officer Dies In Revere Fire: Report

The fire took place on Tuesday, June 17.

REVERE, MA — A retired police officer died in a fire at his Washington Avenue home on Tuesday, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.

Richard Serino, 77, was pulled from the second floor of his home by Revere firefighters and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He spent nearly 35 years serving the public as a police officer. He also served in the Marine Corps.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
