All clinics will be offering updated “bivalent” boosters, as noted by the state in its recent announcement. These formulations provide better protection against the Omicron COVID-19 variant and related subvariants, which remain the prevalent strains of COVID-19 in the US, according to the Department of Public Health.

There is no need for ID or proof of insurance to receive a vaccine at an upcoming clinic. Vaccine incentives will be available as long as supplies last.

Malden clinics are some of more than 240 planned clinics across the state with available vaccine incentives funded through the state’s Vaccine Equity Initiative. Managed by the Department of Public Health, that initiative is currently focusing on communities with low booster rates compared to the rest of Massachusetts, according to officials.
