State Police ID Victim In Fatal Route 1 Crash In Chelsea
State Police are still seeking information on a blue sedan that they said might have been involved in the crash on Sunday night.
CHELSEA, MA — State Police on Monday identified a 22-year-old man killed in a rollover crash in Chelsea early Sunday morning as Milton A. Maldonado-Lemus of Everett.
Maldonado-Lemus, police said, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash after his car struck a median barrier and rolled on Route 1 northbound at Route 16 in Chelsea around 2:20 a.m. A Malden woman, also 22, was injured in the crash and taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with “serious but non-life-threatening injuries,” police said.
While announcing new information on Monday, State Police reiterated a previous call for help in locating a blue sedan that was possibly also involved in the crash.

Police said anyone with information on a blue sedan that was potentially in the area of Route 1 and Route 16 in Chelsea early Sunday morning should call the State Police in Revere at 781-284-0038.
This crash remains under investigation, according to police.
