Wife Of Malden Man Taken By ICE Breaks Silence: Report
The man was confronted and arrested by the agents early Wednesday morning.
MALDEN, MA — A resident has broken her silence after her husband was taken by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement earlier this week, according to a report from 7 News Boston.
Edgar Heran Ellias Escobar at approximately 5:30 a.m. on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 17 while he was driving to work. The driver’s side window of his truck was smashed as he was removed from the vehicle. According to his wife, ICE agents were holding Escobar at gunpoint when she arrived on scene of the incident. ICE reportedly said that Escobar is a citizen of El Salvador and is in the country illegally. Escobar’s wife, who is a United States citizen, says her husband has a pending petition to become a citizen. She and other family members assert that Escobar has no criminal record.
