Here are 5 things you need to know today.

Before you start your Wednesday, here are 5 things you should know:

1. Why not have lunch or dinner and support a good cause at the same time? Swing by Uno's in Vinnin Square, Swampscott and dine-in or take out. Uno’s will donate 20 percent of each bill to Funds raised will benefit residents and clients of the JRC, Woodbridge and Shapiro/Rudolph Adult Day Center. Coupons must be presented with payment of your bill. Coupons are available at the reception desk at the Jewish Rehabilitation Center at 330 Paradise Road in Swampscott.

2. Ok things are looking up. After we were teased with nice weather Monday, we froze yesterday. Today, temperatures will be in the upper 30's and partly sunny. Forecast for the rest of the week looks downright balmy.

3. Today at noon, the will host a "State of the Town" address with Town Administrator Tony Sasso and Board of Selectmen Chair Jim Nye. The presentation will include the town's financial outlook for the next fiscal year and whether or not there will be changes in town services. Cost is $8 and reservations are required and can be made by calling  781-631-6737.

4. On this day in history -- in 1968 the first 911 system was put into place in the country in Haleyville, Ala.

5. The will take on Revere this evening at 5:30 at Salem State University's Rockett Arena.
