5 Things You Need To Know Today, Wednesday, Jan. 19

Before you start your Wednesday, here are 5 things you need to know.

1. Go to the Marblehead Inn this morning at 9:15 a.m. to learn how to be a "nutrition detective for your kids." Learn about the hidden sugars and what our children are eating and some simple tips on keeping kids healthy this winter and beyond. This presentation is free and open to all.

2. If you thought it was cold before, think again. We're headed into a cold trend for at least the next week. According to the National Weather Service, highs will be in the 30's today. Forecasters are watching a storm headed this way for late Thursday into Friday. Anyone else sick of shoveling? 

3. Think it's cold here? On this day in history in 1994, -20 degrees F was recorded in Cleveland Ohio and -36 degrees F was recorded in New Whiteland, Indiana. Both are current state records. 

4. All of yesterday's rain has created some substantial puddles. Help town crews by shoveling out your storm drains so water can drain properly.
