Chairs Named For Auction and Regatta

Marblehead residents Meryl Thompson and Brian McCarthy have been named co-chairs of a committee of more than 30 North Shore residents planning the 17th annual Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston Auction and Regatta.

The events will take place at the Corinthian YachtClub, 1 Nahant Street in Marblehead on Friday, June 17 and Sunday, June 19.

"My wife and I have been involved with Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston’s Auctionand Regatta Committee for over 11 years. We are proud to support this non profits missionto provide essential and compassionate care for the terminally ill and their caregivers,” said returning Co-Chair Brian McCarthy.

Meryl Thompson has served on the committee for six years and said, “There are so many wonderful charities to support but the reason I chose Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston was because they provide end of life care for everyone. It does not matter your race, religion, or economic background. I am proud to be a part of Hospice of the North Shore &Greater Boston.”
