Bicyclist Struck on West Shore Drive

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log:

Thursday, Sept. 6

• At 3:31 p.m., school staff reported kids smoking and drug use near the Post Office. Police are following up with the Post Office to issue no trespass orders.
• At 4:53 p.m., a caller reported a woman spent $187 in 7-Eleven and seemed to be "in a fog." The caller was worried about the woman driving a car.
• At 5:33 p.m., police responded to an accident involving a car and bicyclist. The accident occurred on West Shore Drive. The bicyclist was taken to Children's Hospital with injuries.
• At 8:57 p.m., a woman wearing a "polka dot outfit and rain boots" was reported in the middle of Humphrey Street.
