After carefully considering the state of the music industry since the advent of COVID in March 2020, a new way of promoting and aiding independent artists became more evident. Taking a cue from music business experts all over the world, Harbortown Music has decided to try to put its hat into the ring and see what they could do to increase the exposure of artists who perform a variety of different genres and styles.

Kathy Sands-Boehmer is the former booking manager and publicist for Marblehead’s revered venue, the Me&Thee. She worked tirelessly and passionately and brought hundreds of wonderful musicians to Marblehead. Upon her retirement from her publishing career, she is now devoting all of her attention to the operation of Harbortown Music.

If you take a quick look at Harbortown Music’s website, you will quickly see that Kathy is offering a variety of services to indie artists who may need some consultation and mentoring, press materials, tour planning and advancement, and even virtual streaming shows on Facebook and YouTube. Stephen Bach, owner of The Digital Docs, is Harbortown Music’s technological guru and man behind the curtains at all their shows.
