Marblehead Emergency Sewer Main Repair Detour Set For Thursday
The emergency work will take place on Elm Street with an alternate MBTA bus route also in place.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Emergency sewer main repair work on Elm Street in Marblehead will cause a detour and alternate bus route on Thursday.
The town said N. Granese & Sons will perform the work beginning at 7 a.m. with detours at the intersection of Elm Street and Sewall, Evans, Spring and Creesy.
Those traveling in the area are advised to expect delays. There will be no through traffic, though businesses will be accessible.

The MBTA will modify the bus route beginning at 8:30 a.m. to go inbound on Pleasant Street, right on to Washington (at the Three Cod Tavern), left on Essex Street from the five corners intersection and left back on Pleasant Street. The bus will not be accessing any stops past Starbucks until work is completed late in the afternoon.
