MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead parents and guardians who are looking to keep Halloween candy consumption to a minimum in their houses this holiday season are invited to donate any leftover or unwanted candy to service troops overseas.

Marblehead police are once again collecting candy for donation to the Danvers-based Operation Troop Support so it can be packaged and shipped to service members across the globe.

The collection bin is set up in the lobby of the Marblehead Police Department for drop-off 24 hours a day through Nov. 15.
