Marblehead Snowstorm: Parking Ban Declared Friday
Forecasts of up to eight inches of snow mean no on-street parking in Marblehead starting at midnight.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The first snow emergency of the season will begin in Marblehead at midnight Friday morning.
There will be no parking starting at midnight through the duration of the storm — which town officials estimated on Thursday as being 7 p.m. on Friday.
Forecasts are calling for 4 to 8 inches of snow across Eastern Mass.

Any vehicle parked in a public way, including boats and trailers, will be subject to ticketing and towing.
Any towed vehicles can be retrieved by calling Marblehead police at 781-631-1212 or Bill's Towing at 978-744-9454.

Vehicles that were not claimed within 72 hours will be brought to Bill's Auto Clinic on Commercial Street in Salem.
The state is also closing all "Stop the Spread" coronavirus testing sites on Friday. The Salem walk=in site at St. Peter's Church and the drive-thru site at Salem High School will both be closed. Check back with Patch for updates throughout the first storm of 2022.
